Obituary of a sweet friend
March 18, 2008
The weather was extremely hot and exceedingly humid and we all had to always walk the entire way. It seemed like the worst punishment that one can get, even worse than the ones the devil can impose upon you. Yet it couldn’t be helped as the presence mattered a lot, be it theoretical babbling or be it some practical humbug and so continued the ordeal. Then suddenly there came a twist in my life : I made a new friend. The friend was such a sweet guy, he picked me up everyday and put me on his shoulders and carried me whenever I had to go forth. The friendship meant a lot to me, yet as is human nature I soon started considering the friend a servant, became selfish and started treating him as a slave. The salve of my wounds had now become just a slave.
Yet he continued bearing me, and never complained. Yes he fell ill once or twice and at those times I sorely felt how badly I treated him and resolved better treatment. But the resolution just faded away with the illnesses fading away. Winter came and went and summer came again and still without any complaint the great friend kept on picking me up on his shoulders and carrying me forth. But how long can one accept such a inhumane treatment?? It must be this wat he must have thought when I forgot him one day while chattering with my other friends and lost in conversation with a new found mate. He waited for me for quite some time or rather 17 hours to be exact and then he went away from my life once and for all. I went looking here and there everywhere yet all I have with me is just memories. The worst part is that I dont even have a photograph of my dear friend with me, I guess I got my punishment.
The name of that great friend of mine is ATLAS VORTEX, a bicycle and yet better than a human being!! I will always remember you dear friend, I always will! Come back if you can, Please!
